Chillaxin' by Senav Chillaxin' by Senav
This has been sitting on the computer for ages, and I realized that, "hey, I was gonna upload that," about five minutes ago. I has a good memory.

So. Generic picture of Senav, complete with half-assed perspective. I like her shirt. And her boots.

I love this picture! The perspective is good, the colouring is smooth, the lineart fantastic, the pose is lovely, the background is nice and I just love the character in the first place! :phew:

:aww: :+fav:

Oooh, love the colors you used here. The warm browns and blues and greens just totally say "outdoors" to me. It almost kinda (if you don't mind my saying) looks like an ad for L.L. Bean or Land's End or some company like that... only, y'know, with Senav, which would make clothing ads 100% more awesome now that I think about it.

Cool stuff.

I've never seen an L.L. Bean around here, but we do have Mark's Work Warehouse! They have plaid shirts XD

...I'm a little amused as the though of Senav as a fashion plate. The magic of art makes her look kinda cool, but in real life she'd be some lanky kid with shaggy hair who appears to have raided her dad's closet.

Yay, you're alive. You seem to have improved since I last saw your work - the perspective is pretty good, the coloring is very great, and the lineart is very smooth. If you're still looking to improve, my one suggestion would be to add a little more definitive shading - it would probably give your art a deeper, more three-dimensional feel.

Also, your last name is Blades. That is kind of awesome.

On the critique- On the original, the shading didn't look too bad, though now that I think of it, there wasn't much in the background. The scanner mangled the image, too, I had to darken it to make said shadows even show up.

On my name- Yes. Pretty damn awesome.

Ooo, snazzy, has that definite outdoorsy, casual, ohhh yeeeeah, sentiment behind it. And bagginess. And I am impressed with the color pencil skills. Indeed, I am. Snazzy.

Also makes me want to take a closer look at ze Stuff here. Whatever that means...
